In only its 3rd season, Les Croix has already begun to establish a reputation as one of the best exclusive carp fishing venues in France,

offering superb fishing for big carp alongside top quality lakeside accommodation which is amongst the best on offer.

At Les Croix you will need to think about your fishing and adapt to the conditions, it is not an easy runs lake but good anglers catch well.

Normally you will need to use a fair amount of bait if you want to do well - 20 - 30kg of boilies and 50kg pellet/particle as a guide for the week.

The growth rates of some of the fish has been incredible - one fish has gone from 25lbs to 50lbs in 18 months ! The reasons for this growth are connected to the high

quality water which holds an abundance of natural food for the carp, and the fact that at Les Croix the carp are not under continual angling pressure.

The carp are some of the best looking fish you are likely to see in France, with a good number of scaley specimens, all our fish are in immaculate condition,

and we ask our customers to help us to keep it that way ! Landing nets, unhooking mats and weigh slings are provided free of charge to all customers, and we ask a

all anglers to use anitiseptic treatment on all hookholds and any other marks on the fish.

We have never had a blank at Les Croix, and every week of the 2008/9 seasons saw at least one 30lb+ landed, with most weeks seeing several 30's and loads

of 20's caught. The best catch in 2008 was 54 carp to 2 anglers for a total weight of 1182lbs including 8 x 30's, and in 2009 the best catch to a single angler

was 39 carp with 2 x 40's, 2 x 30's and 34 x 20's, this form continues in 2010 with more and more 30's and 40's featuring in catches and carp to 50lbs+ present.

There are 150 carp in the lake, 90% of which are over 20lbs, a total biomass of around 2 tonnes, which provides for excellent sport, and with some

stunning specimens in the lake, there is a very good chance of something special during your trip. Grass carp to 30lb are also present.

There are no poisson chat, catfish or sturgeon at Les Croix.
